PHOTINI PAPACHATZI

BIOGRAPHY

Fotini Papachatzi is a cultural manager, adult educator and visual artist with a medium in photography. She is a member of Bosch Alumni Network, Culture for Change network, a cultural manager and artist grant from Tandem Cultural Managers Exchange Turkey (2015) and a fellow of the START Create Cultural Change program (2016). Designs and implements educational and socio-cultural projects through European and other programmes based in the Region and in collaboration with CulturePolis (2007-2016), Photometria International Photography Festival (2013-2015), AMAKA (2017-2022), Preveza Jazz Festival (2018-2023), Rockas Dance Festival (2019-2023), Akropoditi Fest (2023), the Greek Refugee Forum, the NGO Arsis, Kinetika (www.kinetika.co.uk) (2002-2004), and with Artifactory since 2017 of which he is a founding member. She holds a Master's degree in Arts Management and Cultural Management, City University of London (2001) and is a graduate of the Department of European Culture of the EAP (2016). She holds certification in adult education and teaching experience in programs of Non-Formal Education — General Adult Education (2008-2021) and in photographic groups of the Region. Since 2016, she organizes the project “Postcards from home”, teaches and curates the eponymous workshop in collaboration with photographers, curators, researchers and Institutions in different parts of the world. She has curated entries by Greek photographers and has participated in photo exhibitions and Biennales in New York, Cuba, United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Russia and Croatia. Her works are in private collections in Greece and abroad. He has worked as Promoter of Steve Wynn's concert in Epirus and as Promoter of Cristina Vilallonga (Half Note jazz club, 2007. “The Tango of Return”, 3rd Festival “Musicians of the World” of the Municipality of Preveza. 2003, 'Tangos de Ida y Vuelta' for the Tango Duo Christina Vilallonga and Gustavo Beytelmann, members of the Gotan Project, at Ronnie Scotts Club, Frith St., London, 2003).
