Katerina Gnafaki is an experienced professional in the cultural field, with a strong academic background and extensive experience in coordinating, curating and managing complex cross-sectoral exhibitions, festivals and artistic events. She specialises in research and the production of programmes across art, technology and society, with an emphasis on sound and contemporary digital practices. As an independent curator and project manager, she has worked with internationally renowned artists, curators and organisations, and has led prestigious festivals and events throughout Europe. Since 2024 she is the project manager of the Prix Ars Electronica Exhibition, one of the most important programs of the Ars Electronica Festival — the largest media arts festival in Europe — based in Linz, Austria. Her work is characterized by an insistence on detail, synthetic thinking, and an ability to manage complex productions with consistency and creativity.
