Culture for Change at ELIA x CAN Webinar: Strengthening Arts in Global Education

Konstantina Karameri, Secretary General of Culture for Change, participated in the international webinar ELIA x CAN: Strengthening Arts in Global Education, organized by Community Arts Network (CAN), a network to which Culture for Change belongs, in collaboration with Community Arts Lab-Porticus. During the webinar, the new report From Margins to Masterpieces: Charting Pathways to Strengthen Arts was presented. in Global Public Education, which gathers data from countries around the world on the state of arts education. The research highlights that, although arts education is recognised internationally as a fundamental element of holistic learning, it is still underfunded and undervalued in public school systems. The report identifies key barriers, identifies drivers of change, and makes strategic recommendations to strengthen and effectively integrate the arts into education worldwide.
