We are the first Greek Association representing the voice of over 50 professionals
of diverse academic backgrounds and skills from around the country - Including - but not limited to - cultural managers, artists, lawyers, behavioural scientists designers, architects, urban planners, environmentalists and other specialties - connected by common views and practices around Social & Cultural Innovation.
We support and give prominence to our members’ initiatives by providing them with formats, practices, guidelines and continuing education opportunities to help them bridge their realities, as well as to creatively collaborate with other individuals, networks, and organizations, and make their work more feasible (and magical), sustainable and impactful, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the Cultural sector and Civil Society in Greece and around the globe.
We’re called Culture for Change because we aim to provoke Change in the way we see, feel and interact through our cultural activities. Change for the people and organisations we collaborate with. Change for our member’s communities. Change for us. Change for our planet. Change for Culture, and Culture for Change.
We expand the capacity of the Socio-cultural Innovation movement by creating a platform to highlight its ideas, tools, events, projects, history, and members. We grow the impact of existing socio-cultural practitioners and incubate new ones.
Though our Association committees and working groups, we launch, partner, and lead events and campaigns for meaningful impact. Culture for Change events include demonstration projects, exhibitions, capacity building workshops, presentations, research, thought leadership, socio-culture visions, and more.
We make the case for Socio-Cultural Innovation by engaging with like-minded movements and inspiring the hearts and minds of engaged citizens in Greece. We use a people-led focus to disrupt professional and bureaucratic silos that limit our communities. We promote models for community-powered funding and governance and assist in their implementation.
To support each other and promote our professional interests, while tackling social & cultural challenges. We create and inspire equal and sustainable ways-of-working in our local, national and international communities.
To bring cultural organizations professionals and networks together, aiming to empower the CforC community's sound infrastructure and long- term sustainability as well as the members' growing sense of ownership over their network. To stimulate and develop Social & Cultural Innovation in all its diversity.
Our shared values influence our work and the impact we hope to achieve.
